Health Awareness Program

The Health Awareness Program aims to improve health knowledge and practices among communities with limited access to healthcare services. The initiative focuses on migrant children and their families, adolescent girls, Varkari communities, and other vulnerable groups. Through this program, we promote health awareness, emphasize the importance of self hygiene, and provide basic healthcare support and aids—helping individuals make informed choices and lead healthier lives.

Context

The Health Awareness Program comprises multiple focused initiatives tailored to the needs of different vulnerable communities:

  1. Migrant Children and Families
We conduct regular health check‑ups for migrant children and their families. Special attention is given to monitoring the growth and development of children enrolled in our education programs, along with providing timely medical consultations through qualified doctors.
  2. Adolescent Girls
Health consultation drives and awareness sessions are conducted in schools across our operational areas. These initiatives, led by healthcare practitioners, address key health and hygiene topics and are carried out annually across eight nearby schools.
  3. Varkari Communities
Our volunteer doctors organize annual health check‑up camps for Varkari communities during the Ashadi Ekadashi Vari at Pandharpur, an occasion that witnesses large community participation and allows us to reach a significant number of beneficiaries.
